Painting the Barn…at least part of it

Weather:
Beautiful, warm mid 80’s. Overcast.
Plantings:
Transplanted the peppers to garden. Direct sowed string beans. The strawberries are coming back nicely.
Activities:
Moved the herbs to planter boxes, sage, parsley and oregano. Weeded the vegetables and watered.
Miscellaneous Notes & Observations:
Painted the front of the chicken coop. Also painted the coop door, bright yellow. I am still working on the inside, it needs a good cleaning. I am thinking about painting the nesting boxes but we’ll see. I am also working on painting the tact room which I use as a brooder for the chicks.
I am thinking that I will wait until next spring to get a new batch of chickens.
The hummingbirds are back and I am making a batch of food for them. They are very good at letting you know they have arrived. One of them was hanging out by my desk window.
The vegetable garden needs some more wood chips and I will have to wait awhile before I can build some raised bed.
