It has been a gorgeous day although it was about 27° it did warm up to 66°. After getting my haircut and stopping at the grocery store I came and started to work in the vegetable garden.
I cut back the dead wood on the herbs, tarragon, thyme, chives and marjoram. My rosemary that has spent the winter in the greenhouse had gotten dried out, I guess I needed to water it more, I watered it and hopefully it will come back.
I was able to turn and prepare the raised beds. Tomorrow I will plant my spinach and snap peas. The garden cleaned up fairly easily but there is still a lot of work to do.
There is still snow up there. While all but one of the raised bed is cleared of south there is still a good amount of snow in the garden. The one bed that is still covered is where I planted garlic in the fall. I can’t tell it starting to grow in that bed, but it is coming up in another bed where I planted it.
I was checking out how the strawberries faired thru the winter. I can see some new growth starting on some of the plants. There are enough plants in there so I think I should have a good crop of them this year.
Off to cook dinner and the watch Atonement.
