Weather:
We continue to have 90’s to 100 degree weather. We did have rain last Wednesday which was nice.
Plantings:
I have planted a ton of basil and am hoping that it will mature before the the first frost, which I think it will.
Activities:
The heat has been keeping my time in the garden to a minimum. I have been out to water and pick snap peas, strawberries and zucchini and finally I am starting to get tomatoes. My pumpkin plants are twice as large as last year and so are the pumpkins.
Miscellaneous Notes & Observations:
I need to pull out my snap peas and plant a new crop. I also plan to plant some more lettuce. I have put a net over the strawberries, to keep the birds out. The strawberries are sweet but kind of small.
All and all the garden did pretty well. I need more room - wait until next year.
