Weather:
We have had about 5 inches of snow since Monday. Tuesday & Wednesday were cold and we went into sub zero temperatures. Last night we got the last couple of inches of snow. The roads were not too bad this morning but travel time was longer than usual.
Plantings:
None
Activities:
No activities outside. Need to get more exercise.
Miscellaneous Notes & Observations:
This is the last day of November. Only 31 more days in 2006. I got a strange egg today - like maybe one of the younger chickens laid a egg but they are still a little young I would rather think it was just a mislay from the older chicken. The shell was very thin, and the shell was cracked. When the weather gets colds their production goes down and I think the cold may have effected their eggs also.

Weather:
Are having the first snow storm of the season. Started about 10:00am this morning - have about 2-21/2 inches of snow. From the National Weather Service. Not real specific about snow fall amounts for our area.
A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST MONDAY.
Plantings:
None
Activities:
Mostly worked on my blogs. No outside activities, did water the Rosemary in the greenhouse.
Miscellaneous Notes & Observations:
Saturday morning around 7:00am, there was a coyote in the front yard not more than 30 feet from the front door. I think he was after the cat. We are on high alert for both the cat and chickens.

Weather:
It was snowing when I got up this morning around 6:45am. It has warmed up to 40° and the snow is almost gone. The National Weather Service is calling for 1 to 3 inches before 4pm tomorrow.
Keep your fingers crossed that we get a little snow. About 3:30pm it started to snow again but it is still to warm to have it stick.
Plantings:
None
Activities:
On Tuesday I bought both layer food and Scratch for the chickens. Tuesday night I filled both feeders and they were almost empty this morning when I let the hens out.
Richard has fixed the door between the barn and coop. It now opens all the way and he has rigged so that we can keep the door open without worrying about the wind blowing it shut. He also covered the window so that the coop is not a wind tunnel.
Miscellaneous Notes & Observations:
Had four eggs from the hens today.
