First Frost

We have had our first hard frost. The tomato, zucchini and beans are done for the season.

The spinach is doing well as are the green onions. The leeks are really to be pulled.

I need to get out and get the garden cleaned up before it gets to cold. Also I need to finish at the least the trim boards that Rich put up for me weeks ago.

Those damn deer are eating my rose bushes that are less than 25 feet from my front door. The nerve… The deer will shortly be moving out to one of the local lakes and we won’t see as much of them. Although on several snowing winter nights I have seen their shadows out in the yard so I know that they are around all year.

The lettuce’s I planted look like they are doing ok. Slow growing…. I want to see if I can build a cover for the raised bed, at this point it’s just a matter of do I have enough time. Hopefully, I will.
