P6110016P6110011We have had so much rain I can’t keep up with all the weeds but I have managed to keep them down in the strawberry batch or at least at bay. I am starting to see the first fruits of my labor if I can keep the dogs, birds and moles from destroying them I might get a crop this year.

The wild roses are blooming they are so pretty. Small patches of pink that peek thru the green.

I picked my first crop of spinach this week.  I realize now that I did not plant enough. I will have to wait until the fall to plant another crop.

Even though it is cool now, by the time it’s gets going again it will be too hot and bolt. Live and learn.

Black AustralorpThe chicks are a month and a half old now. They are really getting big. There are six Black Australorp, three Sex-Link [yellow] and one chick that I am not sure of. It was supposed to be a Black Australorp but it defenitly is not.
